I walked into a place

I decided to lie down there

I juggled three oranges against the glossy white orange peel wall texture from my pallet on the floor in the place I just walked in

I slept there

I dreamed there

I dreamed I decided to lie there until I could see the willow leaves casting and reeling in the breeze like a man at a hose bib flicking water from his hands, shaking the liquid into the sand

And none of it leaves, so he runs the rest across his blue jeans

And the willow tree danced and reached up to turn off the streetlight that morning.

I awoke there, stood up from my pallet, and went to sleep beneath the willow tree.
